Monaghan County Council hereby gives notice of Emergency Closure in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994 that it will close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan
Date & Time:- From Friday 27th February 2026
To facilitate: Emergency Road Repairs
Roads closed: – L-4310 in the Townland of Gorteens
Alternative Route: – Traffic wishing to proceed south on the L-4310 in the direction of Tullynacrunat North will be diverted by travelling on the L-8310 towards the N2, then turning left onto the N2 towards Carrickmacross, then turning left on to the L-4300.
Alternative Route: – Traffic wishing to proceed north on the L-4310 in the direction of Annalittin will be diverted by travelling on the L-4300 towards the N53, then turning left on to the N53 towards Castleblayney, then turning left on to the L-7870.
All Detours will be signposted to direct the Traffic. (Local Access only, no through road).
