Temporary Closing Of Roads

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross/Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

Date & Time of Closure:

Monday 9th December and Tuesday 10th December 2019 from 9:00am to 5:00pm

 

To Facilitate:

Gas Networks Ireland

 

Roads Closed:

LT-85201-0 St Joseph Terrace

 

Alternative Routes.

Traffic turning onto the LT-85201-0 St Joseph Terrace from the R178-6 Farney Street will be diverted left onto the LS-8520-0 Cross Street, then turn Left onto the R179-6 O’Neill Street

 

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

 

 

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 19th of November 2019.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.

 

This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)

Date of Closure:              Sunday 24th November 2019.

 

Times:                                  12.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

 

To Facilitate:                     Turning on of the Christmas Lights in Monaghan Town.

 

Road Closed:                    

  • R867 – Church Square, Monaghan – from Rossmore Monument to Church Square.

 

  • LS5515 – Lower Mill Street, Monaghan.

 

 

Diversion Routes:

Diversions from Emyvale to Ballybay, Clones, Cootehill will be via the N2 bypass to the Dublin Road and R937 Macartan Road

 

Local access to the town centre and the Courthouse car park will be via Dublin Street, Macartan Road and Castle Road.

Times:                                   8.30am to 5.30pm.

 

To Facilitate:                     Mains decommissioning works.

 

Road Closed:                     LT-51823(Belgium Park).

 

Diversion Routes:            LT-55142(Plantation Road) & N-54 & LT55141 (Rope Walk).

 

 

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above mentioned roads with the Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday November 19th.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.
