Monaghan County Council Public WiFi hotspot is now LIVE at Carrickmacross Workhouse

 

Monaghan County Council is currently rolling out public Wifi through the Wifi4EU programme in partnership with the Department of Rural & Community Development and Wifi4EU based in Brussels. This aims to expand the reach of public wifi to public areas, public buildings and community buildings throughout the county. This is being done in collaboration with Telecommunications partners within the county which has expanded its coverage across Carrickmacross and the Clones area in recent months.

Monaghan County Council Public WiFi hotspot is now LIVE at Carrickmacross Workhouse, Shercock Rd, Carrickmacross.

Carrickmacross Workhouse, one of the few remaining Irish Workhouses to be lovingly and carefully restored, showcases our heritage and the best that South Monaghan has to offer.

The last few months have crystalised the importance of having a reliable, high-speed broadband service available to the public at this not for profit Community Resource, Training, Heritage and Tourist Centre
