Following consultation with the Health Service Executive, Uisce Éireann issued a Do Not Consume Notice on the Drum Public Water Supply on the 24th July 2026.
Uisce Éireann wishes to notify consumers that following the completion of remedial works on this supply and receipt of satisfactory monitoring results, the Do Not Consume notice which has been in place is now lifted with immediate effect. This decision follows consultation undertaken with the Health Service Executive.
All consumers on the Drum Public Water Supply can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.
Uisce Éireann – Health Service Executive Water Local Liaison Group will continue to meet and review ongoing process control, monitoring and testing of the drinking water supply.
The Uisce Éireann Customer Contact Centre (1800 278 278) is available to answer customer queries in relation to the lifting of this notice. Further information is available on our website at www.water.ie.
Uisce Éireann acknowledge the patience, cooperation and assistance of the general public during the period of the Do Not Consume notice and greatly regrets any inconvenience caused to householders and the business community.

Tar éis dul i gcomhairle le Feidhmeannacht na Seirbhíse Sláinte, d’eisigh Uisce Éireann Fógra “Ná hÓltar an tUisce” ar an Soláthar Uisce Poiblí an Droma ar an 24 Iúil 2026.
Is mian le hUisce Éireann a chur in iúl do thomhaltóirí,go bhfuil go bhfuil deireadh láithreach bonn leis an bhFógra “Ná hÓltar an tUisce” a bhí i bhfeidhm toisc go bhfuil oibreacha deisiúcháin i gcrích ar an soláthar seo agus toisc go bhfuil torthaí sásúla monatóireachta faighte. Rinneadh an cinneadh seo tar éis dul i gcomhairle le Feidhmeannacht na Seirbhíse Sláinte.
Is féidir le gach tomhaltóir ar an Soláthar Uisce Poiblí an Droma tosú ar an soláthar uisce a úsáid mar is gnách arís le haghaidh óil, bia a ullmhú agus fiacla a scuabadh.
Leanfaidh Uisce Éireann agus an Grúpa Idirchaidrimh Áitiúil Uisce d’Fheidhmeannacht na Seirbhíse Sláinte orthu ag teacht le chéile ar mhaithe le hathbhreithniú a dhéanamh ar rialú próisis ar mhonatóireacht agus ar thástáil a dhéantar ar an soláthar uisce óil.
