NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO VARY THE MONAGHAN COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2019 -2025
(VARIATION NO.6)
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 13 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) that Monaghan County Council proposes to make a variation (Variation No.6) to the Monaghan County Development Plan 2019-2025. The proposed variation comprises of the change of land use zoning of certain lands at Shirley House Lane in the settlement of Carrickmacross from Existing Residential to Town Centre Use.
The reason for the proposed variation is in the interest of proper planning and sustainable development.

A copy of the proposed variation is also available for inspection until 5pm on Friday 18h October 2024 at the following locations and times
- Planning Offices of Monaghan County Council, 1 Dublin Street, Monaghan H18 X982 during opening hours from 9.15am – 5pm (lunch time closing 1:00 – 1:30 p.m.) and
- Castleblayney- Carrickmacross Municipal District Office, Riverside Road, Carrickmacross, A81HY83 during opening hours from 9.00am to 5.00pm
Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed variation made to the planning authority before 5pm on Friday 18th October 2024 will be taken into consideration before the making of the variation.
