A Gift for Christmas from your Local Arts in Education partnership

Presenting two wonderful productions with performances for the whole school to enjoy:
- For Junior infants-2nd class: We present Rockin Christmas Rhymes from Branar Theatre Company Galway (branar.ie) Filmed live from the Blackbox in association with Townhall Theatre Galway, this feel-good live music show combines a merry mix of festive favourites and rocking rhymes that will have everyone jiving all the way! (This show is suitable for all primary level classes but may appeal to the junior classes in particular and runs for 40 mins.)
- For 3rd class -post primary: Next up is a playful & physical stage adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol from Livin Dred Theatre Company (livindred.ie). Filmed live from the Ramor Theatre, award-winning actors Aaron Monaghan and Bryan Burroughs dressed in snazzy suits – play all the characters at break-neck speed using an array of colourful hats, scarves and an Ikea coat-rack! This production is funny, slightly scary, utterly heart-warming and features a surprise special guest appearing as Tiny Tim.
Shows will be available free of charge for primary/post primary schools from Wednesday 16th – Tuesday 22nd December via a dedicated link provided by Monaghan Education Centre. If you would like to access this link simply respond to this email or express interest to director@metc.ie.
