♻️Act Local: Rethink, Repair, Reuse
🌟 Calling all young creators, inventors, makers and problem-solvers.
As part of Monaghan Climate Action Week 2026, we are inviting children and young people from across County Monaghan to showcase their creativity by giving old materials a new lease of life.
🎨Whether it’s a piece of art, a useful invention, a repaired item or something completely unique, we want to see how imagination can transform waste into something valuable.
♻️This competition encourages participants to think differently about the items we throw away and explore how repairing, reusing and repurposing materials can help reduce waste and protect our environment.
🏆 Prizes will be awarded across a number of age categories. The winner in each category will earn a donation for their school or educational setting, helping to support learning, creativity and sustainability initiatives. 👥Both individual and group entries are welcome.
🌱This is a fantastic opportunity for children and young people to demonstrate their creativity, learn about sustainability and become climate action champions in their communities.
💡Waste is not the end of a product’s life. It can be the beginning of something new.
