Phase 1 of the Community Climate Action Programme supported the delivery of 16 community‑led projects across County Monaghan, representing a combined investment of over €764,000 in practical climate action initiatives.
Funded by the Government of Ireland and administered by Monaghan County Council, the programme enabled communities to deliver a wide range of projects focused on renewable energy, energy efficiency, biodiversity, sustainable transport, and resource management. These initiatives have delivered tangible environmental benefits while also increasing awareness and engagement with climate action at local level.
