When a tenant is offered a local authority property they will be required to attend a pre-tenancy meeting where their rights and responsibilities as council tenants will be outlined to them.
The tenant will be issued with a tenant handbook which sets out what you can expect the council to do and what the council expects you to do as a tenant.
