Temporary Closing of Roads
Monaghan County Council will close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan: section of the R186 within Tydavnet Village approximately between Cnoc na Gréine and St. Dympna’s Church Car-Park.
Date & Time: 17:00 on Sunday 4th May 2025 until 00:00 on Monday 5th May 2025.
To Facilitate: Open air festival by Tydavnet Street Fest Committee.
Alternative route: North-bound traffic will be able to divert via the L1020 (Scotstown Road), turning right on to the L1011 at ‘Mc Nallys Cross / Brennan’s Cross’ and proceeding on to the L1010 to ‘Courtneys Cross’ (beside Barratitoppy old schoolhouse) and then turning right onto the L1001 (Knockatallon Road) and proceeding onwards onto the L1000 back onto the R186 Tydavnet Road at ‘American Cross / Killylough’.
South-bound traffic will be able to divert via the L1171 and L1170 (Emyvale Road) turning right at Cloghnart on to the N2 to Monaghan Town.
Alternative routes will be signposted in order to direct the traffic. Emergency vehicles will be catered for at all times.
