Temporary Closing of Roads
Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:
Date: Between Monday 19th May 2025 and Friday 25th July 2025 for a 2 week period between these dates (24 hr closure)
To Facilitate: Road Improvement Works
Road Closed: R183 Clones to Newbliss Road for a distance of 2km from junction of the N54 Cavan to Monaghan Road to the junction of L2130 Annaghkilly.
Diversion Routes:
Eastbound traffic will be diverted via Smithborough along the N54, into Monaghan and onto the R189 into Newbliss.
Westbound traffic will be diverted via Newbliss along the R189 to Monaghan, and along the N54 to Clones via Smithborough.
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
