Temporary Closing of Roads
Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Ballybay and Clones in County Monaghan:
Date: Between Thursday 15th May 2025 and Friday 20th June 2025
The Road may be closed for a maximum of 4 weeks within the Closure Period
To Facilitate: Road Improvement Works
Road Closed: R183 from Drumate to Aghadrumkeen for a distance of 2148m and at Killygragy for a distance of 500m
Diversion Routes:
Westbound traffic travelling from Newbliss will be diverted from Newbliss along the R189 towards Cootehill to its junction with the R188, turning left onto the R188, through Rockcorry until the roundabout at Swans Cross.
Eastbound traffic travelling from Swans cross will be diverted along the R188 through Rockcorry until the junction with the R189, turning right onto the R189 into Newbliss village.
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
