Temporary Closing of Roads

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date:     Between Monday 16th June 2025 and Friday 18th July 2025

The Road may be closed for a maximum of 2 weeks within the Closure Period

To Facilitate:      Road Improvement Works

Road Closed: R187 from its junction with the N54 at Annaghervy to Aghnamallagh for a distance of 1050m.

Diversion Routes:

Westbound traffic travelling from Monaghan will be diverted right onto the LS6110 at Skeagh Bridge and then left onto the R187 at Killydonnelly.

Eastbound traffic travelling from Roslea will be diverted right onto the LP2160, then left onto the N54 as far as the R187 Roslea road Junction.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
