Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross/Castleblayney in County Monaghan
Date: From 25th July 2025 to 1st August 2025
To Facilitate: Road Improvement Works
Road Closed: LP4040 and LP4041 at Bocks Lower and Upper for a distance of 2821m between its junction with the R180 Ballybay to Carrickmacross road and the LS8021 junction at Corbane.
Diversion Routes:
Northbound traffic will be diverted onto the R180 to Lough Egish and then directed to turn left onto the R181 Shercock road as far as Shantonagh. In Shantonagh turn left onto the LP4044 as far as the LP4041.
Southbound traffic will be directed to travel along the LP4044 as far as Shantonagh where they will be directed to turn right onto the R181 in Shantonagh and drive as far as Lough Egish. In Lough Egish turn right onto the R180 Carrickmacross road as far as the LP4040 junction.
This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)
