Monaghan County Council gives notice close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross/Castleblayney in County Monaghan
Dates and Times: Between Monday 1st December and Friday 12th December 2025 (20.00hrs – 07.00hrs) for a period of Four Consecutive nights only.
To Facilitate: Road Surfacing Works
Road Closed:
R927/LP4921 Old Ardee road for a distance of 770m in the townlands of Magheross and Tullynaskeagh East .
Diversion Routes:
Traffic travelling from the Drumcondrath Road to Carrickmacross should take the LP4812 at Priests Cross and drive as far as the N2 where traffic should turn left as far as the R178 Dundalk road junction for Carrickmacross.
Traffic travelling to the Drumcondrath Road should take the L4810 Killark Road off the N2 and drive through the first crossroads as far as the second crossroads – Priests Cross, where traffic should turn left for Drumcondrath or right for Carrickmacross.
Traffic travelling to Kingscourt from the R927 Oriel Road should turn right onto the LP4933 Riverside Road and drive as far as the Old Ardee road where traffic should turn right as far as the R179 Kingscourt road junction.
Traffic wishing to travel the LP4922 old Ardee road from Carrickmacross should take the LP4933 Riverside road as far as Oriel Road where traffic should turn Left. Traffic should take the Dublin exit at the roundabout and join the N2 in the Dublin direction. Traffic should turn right at the junction signposted for LP4922 Clonturk/Nurmore and drive as far as the Old Ardee road.
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
