Monaghan County Council will close the following road in the Municipal Districts of Monaghan and Ballybay-Clones in County Monaghan.
Dates of Closure: Sunday 1st March 2026 to Friday 13th March 2026 inclusive.
Road Closed: National Secondary Road N54, at junction of Roslea Road (R187) to the Cavan Road junction of A3/B533 (Wattlebridge).
Times: 20:00 – 06:00 (Night-Time Work)
To Facilitate: Pavement Repair Works on the N54 in Clones Town from Cara Street, Clones to Circle K, Largy on Monaghan Street.
Diversion Routes: Westbound Diversion – In Annaghervy, Co. Monaghan, at the N54/R187 junction, travel west along the R187 and continue onto the B36 to Roslea, Co. Fermanagh. From Roslea, travel west along the B36 to its junction with the A34. Travel south along the A34 to Newtownbutler and continue south onto the B533 to its junction with the A3 (Wattlebridge). End of detour.
Eastbound Diversion– Above route in reverse.
Diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure.
Every effort will be made to minimise delays.
Local Access will be Provided.
