Monaghan County Council gives notice of the following road closure in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure:              Mon 13^th April 2026 to Friday 1st May 2026

Times:                                24hr Closure – No Through road at the location of the bridge works

To Facilitate:                     Bridge Replacement Works

Road Closed:                    L-2421-0 from the junction of L 2420/ L24201 in the townlands of Carolina to the junction of L-2421/L-6411-0 Mullaghgreenan.

Diversion Routes:

Eastbound Traffic on the L2420 wishing to travel on L-2421-0 will be diverted by taking a left turn on L-24201 and travelling North and taking a right turn onto L-64112-0 and then travelling South on L-6411-0.

Westbound traffic wishing to travel on L2421-0 will be diverted by taking a right turn on L-6411-0 followed by left turn onto L-64112-0 and then a left turn onto L-24201 before continuing West on L-2420.There will be no through road at the bridge location.
