Monaghan County Council will close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan.
Dates of Closure:
Friday 8th May – Monday 11th May
Friday 15th May – Monday 18th May
Friday 22nd May – Monday 25th May
Road Closed: National Primary Road N2, from the Carrickmacross Bypass Southern Interchange in the Townland of Drummond Etra to the N2 Junction with the L4520 in the Townland of Aghavilla.
Times: Friday 20:00 (Closed) – Monday 06:00 (Re-opened)
To Facilitate: Pavement Repair Works on the N2 along the Carrickmacross By-pass.
Diversion Routes: Northbound Diversion – In Ardee at the Carrickmacross Roundabout, travel east along the N33 to its junction with the M1 (Junction 14). From M1 (Junction 14), travel north along M1 and exit at Junction 17 onto the N53. Travel west along the N53 to its junction with the N2 at Tullyvin roundabout in Castleblayney. End of detour.
Southbound Diversion – Above route in reverse.
Diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure.
Every effort will be made to minimise delays.
Local Access will be Provided.
