Temporary Closing of Roads – Municipal District of Carrickmacross Castleblayney

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following roads in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross Castleblayney in County Monaghan:

Date:- Friday the 18th of November 2022 at 17:00 till 21:00

To Facilitate: The Turning on of the Christmas Lights in Castleblayney

Roads Closed: R181-3 Castleblayney Main Street from Market square up to the Traffic Lights, Muckno Street
From the junction at McGrath Road to Market Square, LT-75065 Henry Street and the LT-75065 at Market Square

Alternative Routes:
Traffic wishing to proceed onto the R181-3(Keady Road) from the R938(York Street) will be diverted left onto the R181-3 Main
Street, then Right onto the R183-15 (Monaghan Road) and then right onto the LT-75064(McGrath Road).
Traffic wishing to proceed onto the R181-3(Castleblayney Main Street) from the R181-3 (Keady Road) will be diverted right onto
the LT-75064(McGrath Road), left onto the R183-15 (Monaghan Road)

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Roads Department, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Wednesday 2nd of November 2022. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.
