Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:
Date of Closure: Sunday 25th June 2023
Times: 12.00am – 9.00pm
To Facilitate: Ballinode Street Festival
Road Closed:
LT-16102: For a distance of 150m on the South side of Cappog Road in Ballinode Village and the other closer location at the North side of Maggie’s Bar on the LT-16102 in the Townland of Cappog.
Diversion Routes:
Southbound traffic wishing to proceed on the LT-16102 will be diverted South via the R186 at the townland of Clontoe, then traffic is to proceed South via the R186 and turn right at Connolly’s Bridge and proceed West on the LP-1610 to the townland of Quiglough.
Northbound traffic wishing to proceed on the LT-16102 will be diverted East via the LP-1610, at the townland of Mullaghmore West, traffic will proceed on the LP-1610 and then turn left on the R186 at Connolly’s Bridge and proceed North to the townland of Drumbarnet and turn left onto the LT-16102.
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Roads Department, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Wednesday 7th June 2023. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.
