Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following roads in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney in County Monaghan:
Date: Saturday 16th September 2023 (18:00pm to 20:00pm)
To Facilitate: “ Back to Castleblayney Weekend ”
Roads Closed: Muckno Street to Market Square, Market Square L75065
Diversion Routes:
Traffic approaching from Keady Road will be diverted to McGrath Road
Traffic going towards Keady from south of town will be diverted to McGrath Road
Traffic on Main Street will be diverted via Henry Street, Church Street and York Street.
Henry Street traffic approaching Muckno Street will be diverted left at Market Square West
Date: Sunday 17th September 2023 (1:00pm to 4:00pm)
To Facilitate: “ Back to Castleblayney Weekend ”
Roads Closed: Market Square North L75065
Diversion Routes:
Muckno Street to Henry Street traffic will be diverted left at Market Square West
Henry Street to Muckno Street traffic will be diverted left at Market Square West
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Roads Department, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 22nd August 2023. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.
