Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Ballybay/Clones in County Monaghan:
Date: 24-hour closure on Saturday 18th November 2023 and Sunday 19th November 2023
To Facilitate: Road Improvement Works
Road Closed:
R183 Newtownbutler Road and 98th Avenue at the junction with L-2800-0 Lower Fermanagh Street.
Diversion Routes:
Eastbound traffic will be diverted via Newtownbutler & Wattlebridge along R183 Newtownbutler Road, A34 Clones Road, B533 Wattlebridge Road and A3/N54 Wattlebridge to Clones road.
Westbound traffic will be diverted via Wattlebridge & Newtownbutler along A3/N54 Clones to Wattlebridge road, B533 Wattlebridge Road, A34 Clones Road and R183 Newtownbutler Road.
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Roads Department, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 7th November 2023. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.
