Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Ballybay Clones in County Monaghan:
Date of Closure: Tuesday 7th May 2024 to Friday 31st May 2024
excluding Saturday and Sundays
Times: 08:00 – 17:00
To Facilitate: Road Drainage Restoration and Maintenance
Road Closed: Killeevan to Magherarny Road,
(LP-2152, LP-2151 and LP-2150)
Townlands affected include; Killyfuddy, Drumcaw, Boughill, Killygorman, Conaghy, Cavanavally, Kilnamaddy, Killycronaghan, Listellan, Carnowen and Templetate
Diversion Routes:
Northbound Traffic (Smithborough bound)
- Divert at Killeevan cross towards Stone Bridge & Clones. Turn right onto the LP-2141 towards Stonebridge Presbyterian Church.Turn right onto the N54 towards Smithborough. Turn right Magherarny to end diversion
Southbound Traffic (Killeevan bound)
- Divert at Magherarny onto the N54 Clones Road. Turn left at Stonebridge Presbyterian Church and continue straight to Killeevan Cross
Emergency Service’s and Local Access will be maintained but delays should be expected.
Any interested person may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of the above-mentioned roads with the A/Senior Engineer, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 30th April 2024. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.
