Monaghan County Council hereby gives notice of Emergency Closure in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994 that it will close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross/Castleblayney in County Monaghan:
Date & Time: Monaghan 08th June 2026 – Reopening to be confirmed.
To Facilitate: Public safety and the reconstruction of a collapsed culvert.
Roads Closed: L-8911 in the Townland of Alts and Corlea from a point 220m east of its junction from the L-89121 road to a point 270m from said junction.
Alternative Routes: Local diversions are in place. All detours will be signposted in order to direct the traffic.
