 Road Closed: Section of LS-8103 between junctions of LT-41132 and LS-8103 in the Townlands of Laragh

Diversion Routes:

When travelling East on LS-8103: Turn left onto LT-41132, turn right onto LP-4113, turn right onto LS-8103, turn left onto LS-8102, diversion finished.

When travelling West on LS-8102, turn right onto LS-8103, turn left onto LP-4113, turn left onto LT-41132, turn right onto LS-8103, diversion finished.

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan.

 Dates of Closure:            Thursday 21^st November 2024

 Road Closed:                     N2 Clontibret Bypass – from the townland of Moy Otra   (Clontibret N2 Junction) to the Clontibret Roundabout in the townland of Kilcrow Closure will be implemented in both directions.

Times:                                  9pm – 6am

To Facilitate:                      Essential maintenance works.                                               

Diversion Routes:            Main Diversion via Old N2 (LP3445) Tullybuck  through Clontibret Village to the junction with the  R184 (Aghnameal) then accessing the N2 at the N2 Clontibret roundabout. Northbound Diversion – Above route in reverse.

Diversions will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Local and emergency services access will be catered for at all times

Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

 To Facilitate:     Castleblayney Christmas Market

 Roads Closed:

Hope Castle Avenue and Car Park, The Annex Car Park & Library/Playground Car Park from the Lough Muckno Leisure Park entrance.

Access will be maintained to all other areas of the Leisure Park.

 Alternative carparking will be available, in close proximity to the Muckno Leisure Park, at the following locations:

R183 Clones to Newbliss Road for a distance of 2.4km from junction of L6240 Scarvy to the junction of L2130 Annaghkilly.

 

Diversion Routes:

Eastbound traffic will be diverted via Smithborough along the N54, L2150/L2151/L2152 and L21521 to Killeevan.

 

Westbound traffic will be diverted via Killeevan along the L21521, L2152/L2151/L2150 to Magherarney, Smithborough, and along the N54 to Clones.

For a distance of 1172m between its junction with the LP4111 (Tusker) and the junction with the LS-8171, LT-8122 & LT-41041 (Tavey Cross).

Diversion Routes:

North Bound Traffic – Diverted onto the LS-8171 towards N2 via the LS-8170. Travel north, exit the N2 at the LP-4110 and travel north to Aghnafarcan.

South Bound Traffic – Diverted onto LP-4110 towards the N2. Travel south, exit right onto the LS-8170 to the junction with the LS-8171, LT-8122 & LT-41041 (Tavey Cross).

For a distance of 800m approx. 100m before its junction with the LT76501 (Lurganearly hall)) and the junction of LP-3604.

Diversion Routes:

North Bound Traffic – Diverted left exiting Castleblayney onto the R181 to Keady, turning right in Keady and proceeding to the A29 Dalkey road via Victoria street.

South Bound Traffic – Diverted onto the A29 at the A25 Blayney Road junction coming from Newtownhamilton. Travel south, exit right onto the B30 Newry Road at Fords Cross travelling through Crossmaglen remain on the B30 to Cullaville. Turn right in Cullaville towards the N53 to Castleblayney via the A37 Concession Road. Travel north on this road to the R938. Turn right into Castleblayney. Turn right at main street Castleblayney and proceed onto the R181. Turn right at the next junction for the R182.

N2 National Primary route Derry to Monaghan Road Closure

Monaghan County Council gives notice to extend the following road closure of the N2 National Primary route (Derry to Monaghan) from its junction with L5161 (1.3km north of Silverhill Duck, Emyvale) to its junction with L1160 (1.3km south of Emyvale village).

This is to facilitate evening/night-time road pavement repairs from 7pm to 7am on each day of the closure, in the village of Emyvale from the entrance of Silverhill Duck commercial premises, on the northern side of Emyvale, to the Mountain Water Bridge, on the southern side of Emyvale.

Dates:        Friday 11^th October from 7pm to Saturday 12^th October at 7am.

                   Saturday 12^th October from 7pm to Sunday 13^th October at 7am.

                   Sunday 13^th October from 7pm to Monday 14^th October at 7am.

                  

Start and End Townlands affected are: Lenagh to Carrigans

National Route & HGV Route: All Traffic Including HGV’s  travelling from the North

 

Traffic travelling to Monaghan/Dublin

 

Traffic from Aughnacloy to continue on the A28 Armagh Road reaching the village of Caledon.  In Caledon traffic to make a right turn on Main street/A28 and continue to Armagh where it will make a left turn onto the A3, followed by a right turn onto Irish street/A3.  Traffic will continue on the A3 then right turn at the Monaghan road/A3.  Traffic to continue on the A3 via Middletown following onto the N12 in Co. Monaghan. Detour ends at the Coolshannagh roundabout, Monaghan.

 

National Route & HGV Route: All Traffic Including HGV’s  travelling from the South

 

Traffic travelling to Aughnacloy/Derry

 

At Coolshanagh Roundabout, Monaghan, traffic to take N12 Armagh Road and continue on to A3 to Middletown.  Continue on A3 towards Armagh.  Turn left on to Irish Street – A3.  Take left then right on to A28 Killylea Road.  Continue on A28 to Main Street Caledon.  Take left off Main Street Caledon on to A28 Derrycourtney Road.  Continue forward to Aughnacloy.  Diversion ends.

 

Diversion signage will be in place on the above diversion routes

Emergency services access will be catered for at all times on the local diversion routes
