We are delighted to announce that the Cavan Monaghan Science Festival is going ahead for 2020 with 1 major difference – all events will be streamed online!

We have a broad range of events happening from 7th – 18th November 2020. These include:
– An interview with Prof. Sam Mc Conkey on how he has gone from the small village of Killeevan in Co. Monaghan to the world stage during a Global pandemic.
– Dr. Eddie Murphy, who many will know as the psychologist on RTE’s Operation Transformation will be showing us how to manage our Well-being during these strange times.
– Daniel Davey from Davey Nutrition will speak about Nutrition to perform at your best whatever your goal.
– Dr. Declan Mc Kenna will explain to us the science happening inside a Teenagers Brain
A comprehensive schools programme has also been put in place. Children from schools across Cavan & Monaghan will have the opportunity to experience science shows & presentations from Dublin & Belfast Zoos, Joanna Donnelly from Met Eireann, Astronomy with Robert Hill, Dinosaurs with Dale Treadwell and much much more.
The website also features a ‘Go Experiment’ zone as well as a STEM in Business area which showcases some of the many businesses utilising STEM across Cavan & Monaghan.
All events are free to stream however registration is required.
