Temporary Closing Of Roads
Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District Carrickmacross and Castleblayney in County Monaghan:
Date: Thursday August 20th 2020 and Friday August 21st.
Times: Between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00.
To Facilitate: Irish Water installation of a new water main connection.
Road Closed: LP-4933-0 Riverside Road Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.
Alternative Routes.
Traffic will be diverted onto the R927-3 Old Ardee Road, turn left onto the R927-4 Oriel Road.
All Detours will be signposted. (Local access, emergency vehicles and access to businesses will be catered for at all times).

Temporary Night Time Closing Of Roads
Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney and Monaghan in County Monaghan.
Date of Closure: Monday 24th August 2020 – Wednesday 26th August 2020
Road Closed: N2 Castleblayney Bypass – from the townland of Corrinshigo (Junction for R183 Ballybay) to the townland of Tullyvin (Tullyvin Roundabout). Single lane closure will be in operation during this period on the Northbound Lane only.
Times: 10pm to 6am
To Facilitate: Pavement Resurfacing Works
Diversion Routes: Diversion via N53, R938, R181 and R183 through Castleblayney Town
will be in place for the duration of the closure.
Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:
Date & Time: – Monday 24th August 2020 to Sunday 13th September 2020
To Facilitate: Bridge Rehabilitation Works.
Roads Closed: –
R-162-4 in the townland of Feragh Co. Monaghan
Division Route: –
Traffic wishing to proceed on the R-162 in the direction of Ballybay town from Monaghan town, will be diverted by remaining on the R-188 to the roundabout at Swans Cross, then turning left on to the R183 to Ballybay.
Traffic wishing to proceed on the R-162 in the direction of Monaghan town from Ballybay, will be diverted by turning right on to the R-184, then proceeding on the R-184 to the Clontibret roundabout on the N2, then turning left on to the N2 and continuing on to Monaghan town..
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access only, no through road, Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

To Facilitate: HMS Traffic Management for Tree Maintenance
Road Closed: LP-4623-0 in the town land of Ballintra – Inniskeen to Channon Rock Road
Alternative Routes:
Local Diversions will be in place

between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm
Road will be closed for a maximum of 5 days within the Closure Period
To facilitate: Pavement Overlay Works
Roads Closed in the Municipal District of Ballybay – Clones
-R183: For a distance of 2500m between its junction with the R189 Newbliss and its junction with the L2140 in the townlands of Lisdarragh, Drumagruff, Glinch, Guardhill, Drumacoon, Shanco (Dartree By)
Alternative Route:
-Northbound traffic take R212 and L2220.
-Southbound traffic take L2220 and R212.
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 18th August 2020. Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.

R178-1 Carrickmacross – Shercock Road between Corvally Cross to the County Boundary
Alternative Routes.
HGV Traffic wishing to proceed onto the R178-1 from Carrickmacross will be diverted onto the R180 Carrickmacross-Ballybay Road, Turn Left onto the R181 Lough Egish to Shercock Road
HGV Traffic wishing to proceed onto the R178-1 from Shercock will be diverted onto the R181 Lough Egish to Shercock Road, Turn Right onto the R180 Carrickmacross-Ballybay Road
All other traffic will be diverted onto the LP-4020 AT Corvally Cross, Turn Left on the LP-4013
Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned road with the Head of Roads, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Tuesday 18th of August 2020.

R182-2 Castleblayney – Oram Road between Lisdonny Cross Roads to Lurganmore Cross
Alternative Routes.
Traffic turning onto the R182-2 from Oram will be diverted left onto the LS-7720, then turn Right onto the LP-3710.
Traffic turning onto the R182-2 from Castleblayney will be diverted Right onto the LP-3710, then turn Left onto the LS-7720.
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
