Temporary Closing of Roads – N54 Broad Road, from Old Cross Square Roundabout to Broad Road/Dawson Street junction

Monaghan County Council will close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan.

Dates of Closure:           Tuesday 4^th August 2026 –21^st August 2026         

Roads Closed:                   N54 Broad Road, from Old Cross Square Roundabout to Broad Road/Dawson Street junction (Dunnes Traffic Lights).

Times:                                  7pm – 7am 

To Facilitate:                      Road Resurfacing Works.

Diversion Routes:            Main Diversion for N54 eastbound traffic will be Dawson Street, North road, Coolshannagh Roundabout, N2 Monaghan By-Pass and R937 Dublin Road. No Access to Dublin Street and the Broad Road.

                                                Main Diversion for N54 westbound traffic from Old Cross Square Roundabout will be diverted via Canal Street, Mall Road and R162 Glen Road.  No access to the Broad Road.

                                                Local Diversions and access to properties will be in place for the duration of the closure. Every effort will be made to minimise delays.

This notice complies with the Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)
