
Monaghan County Council will close the following road in the Municipal Districts of Monaghan and Carrickmacross/Castleblayney in County Monaghan:
Dates and Times: Between Thursday 4th June 2026 and Friday 10th July 2026.
The Road may be closed for a maximum of 1 weeks within the Closure Period.
To Facilitate: Road Improvement Works
Roads Closed: LP3442 in the townland of Annayalla, Co. Monaghan for a distance of 850m.
Diversion Route:
Northbound traffic travelling from Castleblayney should take the R183 for Ballybay and join the Castleblayney bypass N2 for Monaghan. At the Clontibret roundabout traffic should take the 3rd exit for Clontibret, then turn right at the junction for Annayalla.
Southbound traffic should stay on the N2 at Clontibret until the R183 Ballybay Slip Road. Traffic should then turn left onto the R183 for Castleblayney. At the next junction traffic should turn Left for Annayalla
Local traffic will be diverted via adjoining local roads. All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).
