A Preferred Route Corridor has now been determined for the scheme and was presented to Monaghan County Council in July 2012. The preferred route corridor comprises a section of the green route corridor at the southern end of the scheme, with a tie-in to the red route corridor north of Monaghan Town.A summary of the process involved in determining the preferred route corridor is available here;Summary – Route Selection Process (English)Summary – Route Selection Process (Gaeilge)A large scale map of the route on Ordnance Survey Discovery Series Mapping is available, and larger scale aerial photographs showing the preferred route corridor are available to download as 7 different maps (Aerial Photograph 1 is at the southernmost end of the route corridor, Aerial Photograph 7 is at the northermost end of the route corridor).
