Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure: Between Monday 24th April 2023 and Thursday 30th November 2023 (Each Road may be closed for a maximum of 2 weeks within the Closure Period)

To Facilitate: Road Improvement Works

Road Closed:
LT-16201: For a distance of 1435m, between its junction with the
R186-5 at Tullycroman and its junction with LP-1620 at Crosses.

Diversion Routes:
Local Diversions in place.
All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure: Monday 24th April 2023 to Friday 5th May 2023

To Facilitate: Road Resurfacing Works.

Roads Closed:
R-185-3: For a distance of 5200m between its junction at the N12
at Cavanreagh to the junction of the LS-5232 and LP-1301 at Tullyree.

Diversion Routes:
Traffic wishing to proceed Southbound travelling from Glaslough to the N12 will be diverted in the townland of Tullyree onto the LP-1301 and then proceed South onto the LP-1300 and then turn right on the N12 at Pipers Bridge in the townland of Killeef. Traffic wishing to proceed Northbound travelling to Glaslough will procced on the N12 heading Eastbound and then turn left on the LP-1300 at Piper’s bridge in the townland of Killeef and proceed
North onto the LP-1301 to Glaslough.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure: Between Monday 24th April 2023 and
Thursday 30th November 2023 (Each Road may be closed for a maximum of 2 weeks within the
Closure Period)

To Facilitate: Road Improvement Works

Road Closed:
LS-5600: For a distance of 3100m between its junction with the R188 at Drumbear and its junction with LS-5600 & LS-5620 at Knockaturly.

Diversion Routes:
Traffic wishing to proceed Southbound on the LS-5600 will be diverted South on the R188 in the townland of Drumbear, and then turn right onto the LS-5620 and proceed East to the LS-5600 in the townland of Lissaraw.

Northbound traffic wishing to proceed to Monaghan Town will be diverted West onto the LS-5620 in the townland of Lissaraw, then traffic will proceed along the LS-5620 until the R188 and then turn right and proceed North to Monaghan town.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Ballybay-Clones in County Monaghan:
Date of Closure: Wednesday 3rd May 2023 to Wednesday 7th June 2023

To Facilitate: Road Resurfacing Works

Road Closed:
R183 Newbliss to Swanns Cross road in the townlands of Lisdarragh, Drumaghakeel, Drumgristin, Feagh

Diversion Routes:
Eastbound Traffic divert via the R189 Cootehill Road, turn left onto the R188 Monaghan Road as far as Swanns Cross, take first
exit off roundabout for R183 Newbliss. Westbound Traffic divert via Swanns Cross roundabout for R188 Cootehill. Turn Right onto the R189 for Newbliss.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Monaghan County Council gives notice to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Road Closed:
LP-1210 for a distance of 3300m between its junction with the N2
at Emyvale and the junction with the LS-5205 at Aghaboy.

Diversion Routes:
Northbound traffic travelling from Glaslough to Emyvale on the LP-1211 will be diverted left onto the LS-5206 heading West, then traffic will procced West until it becomes the LS-5207. Traffic will
continue along the LS-5207 until the junction of the N2, then traffic will be diverted right onto the N2 and proceed North to Emyvale.

Southbound traffic travelling from Emyvale -Glaslough will be diverted onto the LP-1200 and proceed Northeast until the road becomes the LS-5220, then proceed on the LS-5220 to the
townland of Monmurry and turn right on to the LS-5204 and proceed Southbound to the LP-1211 and turn right to Glaslough.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following road in the Municipal District of Monaghan in County Monaghan:

Date of Closure:               Sunday 30^th April 2023 @ 5pm to Monday 1^st May 2023 @ 12.30am

To Facilitate:                     Open air festival by Tydavnet Community Centre Committee

Road Closed:                     Section of the R186 within Tydavnet Village between Cnoc na Greine and St. Dympna’s Church Car-park

 

Diversion Routes:

Northbound traffic will be diverted via the L1020 (Scotstown Road), turning right at “McNallys Cross/Brennans Cross” and proceeding to “Courtneys Cross” (beside Barratitoppy old schoolhouse) and then turning right onto the L100 (Knockatallon Road) and proceeding onwards back onto the R186 Tydavnet Road at “American Cross/Killylough”.

Southbound traffic will be diverted via the L1171 (Emyvale Road) turning right at Cloghnart on to the N2 to Monaghan town.

Alternative routes will be signposted in order to direct the traffic.  Emergency vehicles will be catered for at all times.

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above mentioned roads with the Roads Department, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Thursday 13^th April 2023.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”.

Monaghan County Council gives notice of its intention to close the following roads in the Municipal District of Monaghan:

Date:               Saturday 6^th May 2023

Time:               8.00am to 7.30pm

To Facilitate:      Monaghan Street Food Festival

 

Roads Closed:

• LS5515 – Lower Mill Street between North Road and Church Square
• R867 – From Market Street to the Diamond (including Church Square), Monaghan Town

 

Diversion Routes:

Traffic coming from the North via Glaslough Street, wishing to access the Clones Road (N54), or the Cootehill Road (R188), or the Ballybay Road (R162), may do so via Dublin Street, Macartan Road

Traffic coming from the South, via Dawson Street, wishing to access Dublin Street, may do so via North Road (N54)

Taxi Rank outside of Courthouse to be temporarily relocated to the North Road alongside the DV8 premises.

Local and emergency services access will be catered for at all times.

Any interested person may lodge an objection to the closing of the above-mentioned roads with the Roads Department, Monaghan County Council, MTEK II Building, Knockaconny, Monaghan not later than Thursday 13^th April 2023.  Any objections must be clearly marked on envelope “Objection To Road Closure”

Roads Closed: LS-7720 in the Townlands of Lisdonny

Diversion Routes:

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LS-7720 from the R182 will be diverted straight onto the R182, then left onto the LT-76003.

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LS-7720 from the LS-7600 will be diverted right onto the LT-76003, then turn right onto the R182.

All Detours will be signposted in order to direct the Traffic. (Local Access and Emergency Vehicles will be catered for at all times).

Roads Closed:    LS-7870 in the Townlands of Annalittin

Diversion Routes:

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LS-7870 from the LS-8310 will be diverted right onto the LP-4310, then left onto the LP-4300, then right onto the N53

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LS-7870 from the N53 will be diverted onto the N53, then turn right onto the LP-4300, then right onto the LP-4310.

Diversion Routes.

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LT-46301 from the LS-8601 will be diverted straight onto the LS-8602, then left onto the LP-4622, then left onto the LP-4630

Traffic wishing to proceed on the LT-46301 from the LT-46031 will be diverted right onto the LP-4630, then turn right onto the LP-4622, then left onto the LS-8602.
