Winter Support for Local Community Groups, Businesses, Schools, Churches and the General Public
“Purchase a Salt Bin Scheme”
Monaghan County Council does not provide salt directly to the general public. In order to provide help and assistance to Local Community Groups, Schools and Churches and Businesses during the winter period, it operates a “Purchase a Salt Bin Scheme” which allows Local Community Groups and Businesses to prepare themselves for the winter period at a reasonable cost. It is up to the community group/school/business to source their own salt after the first fill has been used.

Salt Bins can be purchased under any one of the following options.
Option A 1 Bin – Delivery plus one fill of salt €170 (including VAT)
Option B 1 Bin – Delivery only €120 (including VAT)
Monaghan County Council will not be refilling the salt bins after the first fill has been used.
