N2 Corracrin Village – Part 8 Planning, April 2013
Monaghan County Council has applied for Part 8 Planning Permission to upgrade and improve the existing N2 through the settlement of Corracrin. The proposed works are over a length of approximately 350m through the village and will tie-in the improvement works at the northern end of Phase 4 and the southern end of Phase 3.
The proposed development will involve the provision of pedestrian and cyclist facilities to tie in with the proposed Monaghan to Emyvale Phases 3 and 4 Road Improvements. The Road improvements will consist of widening, easement, drainage, overlay, improvement of sightline visibility splays, the provision of a right turn lane at the L5250 Mullaghpeak local road and the provision of traffic calming measures through the Village and all ancillary works.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development are available for inspection or purchase, at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making copies, during normal office hours (9.15am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 5.15pm), at the Offices of Monaghan County Council, Mtek II Building, Knockaconny, Armagh Road, Monaghan until Thursday 30th of May 2013.
