Monaghan County Council have recently installed a new permanent webcam overlooking the Diamond area in Monaghan Town. Live footage from the webcam can be viewed via our website at the following link: https://monaghan.ie/monaghan-web-cam/
As I hope you agree, the Diamond looks spectacular and as you can see preparations are well underway for the annual Country Music Festival taking place this weekend in the town. Feel free to share this link with all your friends and family especially those aboard so that they can see a little piece of home, or even for you just to keep an eye on the festival from the comfort of your own armchair!
For Data Protection reasons this is just a live stream and is not being recorded, no sound is available but you can have great fun guessing what song is being played at the Country Music Festival by the pace and rhythm of the jivers!
The Lough Muckno site is a significant one, with its historic landscaped parklands and culturally important buildings – in particular, Hope Castle and the Stable Buildings/Annexe that are now in disrepair, having been previously used for a variety of purposes. The broader site also has a well-deserved reputation as a leisure amenity that is much used and appreciated by the local community.
As part of the work, we are inviting you, as members of the local community, to share your opinions with regard to the buildings. If you would like to contribute your ideas to the project, there are two ways in which you can do so. Firstly, the short questionnaire (see below link) can be completed and returned directly to CHL Consultants (contact details are on the form) anytime up to the 4th August 2017.
