Monaghan County Council’s Dog Pound is located at Carrick Boarding Kennels, Lisdoonan, Carrickmacross. Stray dogs and dogs voluntarily surrendered by their owners may be brought directly to the pound between 11am – 5pm Monday – Friday.
Please note that visits to the Dog Pound are by appointment only – please phone 087 – 9634121 between 11am – 5pm to arrange an appointment.
Please note that there is a fee for voluntarily surrendered dogs.
Please also note that any person reclaiming or rehoming a dog from the Dog Pound must present the dog’s licence for inspection before they may take possession of the dog.
