Monaghan County Council’s Community Development Fund for 2026 is open. Closing date for applications will be Friday 2nd of January 2026. The reason for this early closing date is to facilitate the Council in giving a decision as early as possible to groups , so they will be able to make their plans for the year accordingly.
Who may apply
- Voluntary and not for profit groups delivering a service in County Monaghan may apply to the Fund.
- Only one application per group will be accepted.
What kind of project is eligible?
- Community development activities, programmes and events.
- Training, promotional activities and publications.
- Equipment such as laptops, defibrillators etc.
- Not for profit community events that provide a positive benefit to communities in Monaghan.
- Projects that promote inclusiveness for example those that support a diverse range of users and projects which include people with disabilities, older adults, marginalised groups etc.
The funding may be used to help reduce the community contribution on a project of significant scale, where the main funding is either an EU or Irish government Programme.
The maximum support under the Fund is €3,00.00
