Monaghan County Council is committed to supporting communities. We want to see all parts of the county continue to thrive, enjoy good quality facilities supporting a wide variety of activities for all. We want our communities to be strong, supportive of each other, caring towards their weakest members, and inclusive towards those who are different. This kind of community requires nurturing and support, and central to this is planning. Monaghan County Council is committed to ensuring that every community in the county has a Community Plan. Over the next few years, we will be assisting every community to put a Plan in place, to help them to identify the issues which they need to address in their community and prioritise the projects which must be undertaken in order to make their communities a better place for all.

In this section you can keep up to date with how we are progressing with the Community Plans; which communities we are currently working with, what consultations are currently open for comment, and what funding has been drawn into the county as a result of the planning process.

Simply click on the name of the community you are interested in to find out how things are going in that area, and how you can become involved.
