Notice of Making of Variation 1 of Monaghan County Development Plan 2013-19 – Childcare Facilities in Larger Housing Developments

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 13 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2010 that on 7th September 2015 Monaghan County Council made a variation (Variation No. 1) to the Monaghan County Development Plan 2013-2019 (incorporating the Development Plans for the towns of Monaghan, Carrickmacross, Castleblayney, Clones and Ballybay). The proposed varied Policy HDP8 (Chapter 15) is as follows:-

“Provide appropriately designed childcare facilities in developments of approximately 75 no. units or more where the planning authority determines necessary in accordance with the requirements of the DEHLG Childcare Facilities Guidelines for Planning Authorities, 2001. Where a developer is proposing a development of less than 75 no. units, and where he/she is, has previously, or proposes in the future to carry (an)other separate development(s) in the vicinity, the Planning Authority shall determine the need for a childcare facility based on the total number of units in all of the developments combined. This shall also apply where the developer is working in concert with others.”

A copy of the County Development Plan as varied is available for inspection at the offices of the Planning Authority, Monaghan County Council, The Glen, Monaghan during opening hours from 9.15am – 5pm (including lunch).

NOTICE OF MAKING OF REVISED GENERAL DEVELOPMENT CONTRIBUTION SCHEME 2014-2019

Monaghan County Council adopted a revised General Development Contribution Scheme for the period 2014-2019 under the provisions of Section 48 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2010 on 1st December 2014.

The Scheme is a revision of the Development Contribution Scheme adopted in 2013 and takes account of the recent changes in local government structures and the transfer of water services provision to Irish Water. It sets out development contribution charges to be levied on planning permissions in respect of Traffic & Pedestrian Facilities and Community, Recreation & Amenity Facilities.

A copy of the revised General Development Contribution Scheme is available for inspection at Planning Reception, Monaghan County Council, County Offices, The Glen, Monaghan between 9.15am and 5pm (including lunchtime), Monday-Friday.
